Migrate a NAS or File Server to AWS

A planned move from your office NAS or file server to AWS, with integrity checks, a cutover plan and a way back if something goes wrong.

From $1,5001 to 3 weeks
Scope

What you get

How permissions carry over depends on the source and the AWS target. I map that in the planning step, before any data moves, so there are no surprises on cutover day.

Process

How it works

01

Free 20-minute call

We talk through what you have, how people use it, and what must not break.

02

Inventory and plan

I map shares, sizes and permissions, choose the target service, and write the cutover and rollback plan.

03

Copy and verify

Data is copied while you keep working, then synced again until the final switch, with integrity checks along the way.

04

Cutover and follow-up

We switch over in an agreed short window and I monitor for issues afterwards.

Questions

FAQ

How long does a NAS migration to AWS take?

It depends mostly on how much data you have and how fast your connection is. The initial copy runs in the background while you keep working, then a final sync and cutover follow.

Will my team lose access during the move?

Only for a short, planned cutover window that we agree in advance. Before that, people keep using the current system.

What if something goes wrong?

The plan includes a rollback path, and your original data stays where it is until you are happy with the result.
